Why isn't the personalization color themes more user friendly?
Why isn't the personalization color themes more user friendly?
- Don't get me wrong I luv Aeros. Its just I wish you went a little futher. I want to keep Aeros on but if I do, I lose the possibilities of change on alot of features that are on my 'must be able to change' list. Like the 3D objects color can't be changed if Aeros is on and that seriously bugs me cause if its a Microsoft product it will give me that weird slatish color blue that it uses for the background.
If I open WMP, blue. If I open my calculator, blue. Windows Paint, blueeeee. Its everywhere and I can't get rid of it.
I was so happy when they came out with the Plus packet for XP so I could get rid of the blue and at least stare at Silver, but its like u guys took 2 steps foward with Win7 Aeros and then took 5 steps back with some of the things that was already declaried needing tweeks when Xp was out.
So I just want to know is, why? Why didn't you guys give us more options to actually Personalize our desktop.
If it would work I would totally put XP Plus on my computer cause I miss my animated green leaf mouse and nature sounds. I even miss the silver toolbar I had cause then I wouldn't have to stare at slate blue all over the place.
If I'm missing something and I can actually get rid of that bluish background please inform me, cause I'm dieing to know.- Changed TypeAmoraluv Friday, November 13, 2009 12:06 AM

Have actual looked at that? That goes into the section that I was talking about. If Aeros is on, u can only change the rim of the windows and nothing else. - Ah, now I understand what your rant was about :P
Yes, if you use Aero it appears these settings have absolutely no affect. A lot of Windows 7 users at work have tried resizing their desktop icons, etc, which, of course, has no affect if you are using an Aero theme.
Microsoft, I wonder why this is? - exactly Rob
They did the same thing with Xp when it first came out but since so many people complained about not being able to change anything, Microsoft came out with XP Plus. I accidentally discovered that you can resize your desktop icons with your mousewheel while holding down Ctrl. Changing the size setting in the control panel would be much better, of course.- Thats a neat trick
but I mostly want to change colors not icons, you can easily replace the icons by going to the properties of that program while its on ur desktop.
I just want some more control over my Destop theme colors. I accidentally discovered that you can resize your desktop icons with your mousewheel while holding down Ctrl. Changing the size setting in the control panel would be much better, of course.
Yep, that is neat, thank you, you've made at least one of my users happy with that one :)- Ugh BLue
its all Blue
