If you run it under Vista you cannot change the port number. On a sever, the admin website runs using port 1024. In Vista you use the default http port (port 80) and the admin website is a directory under the default website (as the message explains).
BillSat, 04 Jul 2009 02:54:16 Z2009-07-04T02:54:16Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverhyperv/thread/243716b5-7b79-4120-b183-0b6fe1ffd690#fb46886d-b4da-4c6a-b7f4-d67a5c0249a8http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverhyperv/thread/243716b5-7b79-4120-b183-0b6fe1ffd690#fb46886d-b4da-4c6a-b7f4-d67a5c0249a8Vincent Huhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Vincent%20Huvirtual server 2005 r2 install question
Hi,

According to the description, the issue seems to be related to Virtual Server.
