  • You're on the right track.  For the part below, this means that you've hit the correct KMS host.  The Office KMS host requires five computers to activate with it before it can start activating clients.

Installed product key detected - attempting to activate the following product:
    SKU ID: 9da2a678-fb6b-4e67-ab84-60dd6a9c819a
LICENSE NAME: Office 14, OfficeStandard-KMS_Client edition
LICENSE DESCRIPTION: Office 14, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel
Last 5 characters of installed product key: 8R6BM
    ERROR CODE: 0xC004F038
ERROR DESCRIPTION: The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer cou
ld not be activated. The count reported by your Key Management Service (KMS) is
insufficient. Please contact your system administrator.

At this point, if you run cscript slmgr.vbs /dlv bfe7a195-4f8f-4f0b-a622-cf13c7d16864 on the KMS host, you should see that the Current Count has increased to 1.  If you activate with the KMS host from another computer, it should go up to 2.  Make sure that you've run rearm if you're imaging your machines.  Once the 5th client has activated with the host, then the machines 1, 2, 3, and 4 will activate next time it attempts activation with the host.
