    Hello All:
I have a file upload feature in my web site. I want to check every uploaded file before it is saved on the server. Can some body tell me how to do this.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Ashwani,

There is no command line feature to scan an uploaded file, but as long as you have told Sharepoint to 'Scan documents on upload' it will pass them to Antigen/Forefront for scanning. This setting is found in the Sharepoint Central Administration screen. There is actually no such configurable setting in Antigen/Forefront, although the Sharepoint setting is viewable (in read-only mde; greyed-out).

    Kind Regards,

In my last post, I assumed that by "web site" you meant Sharepoint website, since this is the only web protection that Antigen and Forefront Server products give. If you are talking about general protection for your HTTP website, you'd need a file system-based scanner and firewall scanner inbetween the webserver and the internet. Consider Forefront Client Security and ISA/IAG as combinable solutions (see the Forefront Roadmap for more info). Please repost to a different Forefront forum (FCS / ISA/IAG), if you need to ask your original question in relation to one of these technolgies.

    Kind Regards,
