Upgrade Outlook only?

miércoles, 23 de mayo de 2012 15:06We have a PC that runs MS Access 2003 and Excel 2003 applications. For the transition to Office 365, I would just like to upgrade Outlook on this PC as it will not need any functionality of Office 365 beyond the ability to send and receive emails via Outlook. I would like to keep the rest of Office 2003 intact. Can this be done?

Yes this can be done based off my experience. We ran the exact same thing for a few years at my company where I had all my clients on Office 2003 but had hosted email that required Outlook 2007. You just install the Outlook version you want and then configure email and it works fine. You will loose some integration features with word in your Outlook client like real time spell check but over all it works great. Good luck
