    Hi all,

    I'm a bit confusing about SharePoint licensing.
    Currently we've got CALs and license server for SharePoint 2010 On Premise and we would migrate to SharePoint Online (O365).
    Do we need to buy new CALs ? Does Microsoft automatically upgrade On premise CAL for SharePoint online ?

    Sorry if question has already been answered but i've not found informations about this point ...

      SharePoint Online is a monthly subscription service rather than a CAL based system.  You'll need to check with Microsoft whether there is any kind of discount you can get based on replacing an onPremise environment.  But the OnPremise CALs you have aren't applicable for SharePoint Online.
