Software Metering Usage Report Cycle - question

We're using SCCM 2007 SP2
a. Is there a way I can force the "Software Metering Usage Report Cycle" in the client using the script. Because we're getting wrong infromation regarding the report so I want to isolate the issues
b. How it populate the data in the database in case I run the "Software Metering Usage Report Cycle" in the client side. It's will update immidiately the data ?

A) You can use the right click tools to initiate that
B) Use the utility RunmeterSum.exe

It is found on the CM07 CD under the Tools directory.

A) There is a script here... "How to Initiate a Software Metering Usage Report Cycle" . Or could use "SCCM Client Center"
B) as per the guys above. See the "Note: runmetersumm.exe must be run on the SQL Server machine" bit in the link Henrik posted.
As another suggestion... I'd change the "Automatic Software Metering Rule Generation" percentage to 1% (minimum)... and rules to 1000 (maximum)...
... as this will create many useful disabled metering rules that you could then choose to enable.
