    Hi

     a. Is there a way  I can check if my software metering is collecting data in the client (to simulate if my configuration is working fine)

     b. what is the script/command on how to force the client collect software metering report to forward in the SCCM server

    Yes you can check to see if CM07 client is collecting data by looking at the SWM log.. mtrmgr.log.. It will show you when an rule have been triggered.

    In the CM07 agent applett initiate Software Metering Usage Report Cycle.

    Besides the correct answers from Garth, you will also need to use Runmetersum.exe to force the summarization of the data. By default that is only done once pr. day.
