System attended service disabled

We have an Exchange 2003 Server. The "system attended" service is
automatically stopped by itself and disabled.I have to manually restart the
services and after some time it is again stopping itself. Any
help would be appreciated

Hi,
Any events logged in the application log?
Are policies applied to the server?

only default policy applied and there is noting in event viewer about it -

Just to make sure.
Have you tried to set the service to automatic (after the service is disabled) and then right after that run a gpupdate?

Did the service get disabled right after the gpupdate?
If yes, you have a policy problem.
Did someone run the security configuration wizard on the exchange server and configured the service to be disabled?

this might be help full
right click on the system attendent service
properties
on the recovery tab select the option recovery (select that suites your enviorment the best)
mainly three of them available
1.restart the service
2.take no action
3.restart the server
you will also see what all can you do if it fails consequetively
