For SSL connections, does IE check with the CA?

miércoles, 02 de mayo de 2012 22:42When Internet Explorer establishes an HTTPS connection (or any other connection that uses SSL/TLS, such as FTPS), and the site sends its certificate to my IE, does IE always first confirm the certificate with the Certificate Authority before establishing the connection?
If there’s a setting for this, where do I go to set it to always check with the Certificate Authority?
