Respondida AA not able to make outbound calls

I just setup UM integration, and VM part works.  However AA is unable to make outbound calls via Lync.

I get two warnings in exchange UM server:

    Event ID 1400

The following UM IP gateways did not respond as expected to a SIP OPTIONS request.

Transport = TLS, Address = lyncfepool.contoso.local, Port = 5061, Response Code = 0, Message = This operation has timed out.

    Event ID 1344

The Unified Messaging server failed to deliver the MWI notification '1/1 (unread/read)' for the UM-enabled mailbox 'Some User(7d5b9f02-b614-4316-872c-1446e1fffeb0)' associated with UM extension 'user.last@contoso.com'. Until this problem is corrected, the MWI state for this user may be out of sync. Additional information:

An MWI message couldn't be delivered in the allocated time for user User.

Server 1:1 failed with 0 This operation has timed out.

Looks like Lync can talk to Exchange but Exchange is unable to talk to Lync.  The certificate on Exchange is a 3rd party external cert so it shouldn't be an issue (I'm assuming)

    Any ideas on troubleshooting this?

    Thanks

Have you Configured Exchange so that it can make Outbound Calls?

Yes, that's how it knows who to talk to (lyncfe.contoso.com), it is just not able to talk to it.

    Hi,

Can you get any logs in Lync Server about this problem?

When your call the lync client through AA, you need to dial the user's VM extension number not user's DID number.

You'd better apply a certificate to UM service from the internal CA which trusted by Lync Server to make sure they are mutually trusted.

You have to make sure that you give the Exchange AA the correct Voice Policy so that it has permissions to dial out to PSTN or any other route that involves mediation servers or gateways
