DLL problem when installing Office 2007

domingo, 20 de mayo de 2012 22:51Whenever I try to install I continue to get an error message as follows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller\OSETUP.DLL. I am asked to verify the file's existence and see if I'm authorized to change it. I did that but am still getting nowhere. I am by no means an expert on this. I lost my CD but have my Product Key and the download starts but doesn't finish. How do I get the error message fixed?

If the download doesn't finish, the install is supposed to fail.
Please make sure there is enugh space in your hard drive to finish the download.
Please make sure you are downloading the file from the correct place, e.g. http://www.microsoft.com/office/downloads/
Then, try to reset your IE, and download again. (How to reset Internet Explorer settings)
