Hi Forum,
I have deployed SCOM 2012 in a part dev, part prod environment; Part of our deployment scripts put the servers we are deploying to Into maintenance mode – This works fine from the SCOM Server. What I would really like to do is run this maintenance mode code snippet from the deployment server, however I cannot get the OpsMgr PowerShell modules installed, does anyone know if this is possible?

Hi,
Install the Operations Console (Management Console) on the Deployment Server, then you will be able to run the SCOM PowerShell scripts..
Hope this helps..

As you are using SCOM 2012, then you might want to consider deploying Orchestrator 2012 for process automation around System Center.

Thanks for the reply.
At this stage I would rather not install Orchestrator for such a minor task.
@Mazen, Your tip is interesting - Is there an option to install the cmdlets only without having the whole SCOM management console on the server as well?
Thanks and Regards,

Since this looks "Too Hard" to install just the OpsMgr PowerShell scripts on a remote machine I have opted to use WinRM and remote PowerShell to invoke commands from my deployment server.
