    Hi,

When i try to share OneNote to my SharePoint site having http, I can share the OneNote with no issues. But When I try to share the OneNote with https, I get the following error

OneNote cannot create a new notebook at:
    https://<var>SharePoint_server_address</var>/<var>notebook_name</var>/

    Possible reasons include:
    • The specified location is not available.
    • You do not have permissions to modify the specified location.
    • The path or notebook name contains invalid characters.
    • The combined path and notebook name exceeds the maximum path length.
Adjust the path and notebook name, and then try again.

I have tried from multiple systems. But I didnt try with OneNote 2007 because I dont have to access to it.

Please suggest. Is it a bug.  I have checked using this MS support KB article which is meant for OneNote 2007.

    Thanks,

    Ronald

    Hi Tomas,

The SSL on the site is already configured and enabled. The question here is whether there is an issue when we try to share OneNote 2010 on the SharePoint 2010 site with SSL enabled.

Thanks for your reply. If someone from the MS (Office client integration) team can suggest or help us in this issue.

    Regards,

    Ronald

    Hello Ronald,

Based on my research, this issue is resolved in SharePoint 2010. Please make sure you have installed the latest service pack and CU for SharePoint.

    Best Regards,
