    Hi,

I have no idea what happend, but I get this critical error "

Cannot open database "Secure_Store_Service_DB_35e8500e90c54faa8d8403f42b81dd4b" requested by the login. The login failed.

Login failed for user 'XXXX\spraun_sql'. The db is not there

I do not have any backup of this db.

Is it possible to recreate Secure Store Service or create a new one and use it??

What can I do in this situation?

    thanks.

Go to Central Adminitration site -> Manage Service Applications -> Select "Secure Store Service Appliation Proxy" and Click Delete on ribbon (check "Delete data associated with the Service Application connections"); Select "Secure Store Service Appliation" and Click Delete on ribbon (check "Delete data associated with the Service Application")

Recreate Secure Store Service if needed (for example, by running Configuration Wizard)

    Hi Erró.

Aviw is right, but you should however before going and recreating the Secure Store consider what it was used for, and perhaps even consider what has happened that caused the DB to disappear in the first place? Check if you have a backup?
Perhaps it was used for what it is intended, to store credentials, if so that perhaps you will loose some critical information when recreating the servcie app.

Consider this...and then, if it feels right, recreate the service application.

    Read up on it here:
