     I build a package using jre1.6.0_29.msi, and give the approval to 3 computers (two Windows 7 64b, and one Windows XP 32).

     

    One of the Windows 7 already had Java Update 29; the other one had Update 21. And on the Xp the Java was uninstalled.

    After giving the approval, the status is "Successful" (In the one who already was installed) and "In progress" on the other two computers.

    I tried to initialize windows in the two computers with "normal" users and with "administrative rights" users. Java isn't installed or updated.

     

    What I'm doing wrong?

    Hello,

    When we finish the software deployment and approve the installation for your target computers, the package will be deployed to target computers within 24 hours. So what is the latest status of the package on the problematic computer? If you want to expedite the process of deployment, we can take below steps:

     

    1. Navigate to Computer pane, select the target computer.
    2. Click “Detect Software and Updates Now”.

    Besides, did you deploy the package with the option "Publish package(s) to Add/Remove Programs" selected? Clear this option and try to deploy it with a deadline.

    After the approval I waited 3/4 days, and restarted the target computers to see if that was the problem.

     

    The first option, doesn't detect any update:

    "Detect Software and Updates NowTask Description

    Status:SuccessRuns the Windows Automatic Updates client to detect any needed software and updates required by this computer.

    The second option, option I’m trying right now, and will report if any changes happen.

    The 32bit installation with the without "Add/Remove Programs" and the deadline worked.

    After that I changed the type of users of the computers from "administrator" to "standard user" and  when tried to make the installation (in the same way) of Java 64bits.

    In the computer with Windows 7-64b the result was "Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update . error 0x80070643: Java(TM) 6 Update 29 (64-bit)."
