I am now running windows 7. Found it to be very good most of my drivers loaded just fine .  however my printer which is a pixma ip6000D woon't load the driver so i can't print.

I was running xp the driver is still sitting on my other drive and i have the original installation cd.

Any advice on how to get this to work would be useful

    Hi

First, try installing the XP driver in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode.

Place the driver file on the Desktop.
Right click the file and select Properties/Compatibility Tab.
Place a checkmark in the compatibility option.
Use the drop down menu to select the appropriate OS.
Place checkmark in the Run As Administrator option.

    Click Apply/OK.

Double click the file to run.

If this does not work, go to the following website and download the latest Windows Vista compatible driver. Repeat the same compatibility steps on the file before installing.

Download Library - Canon USA Consumer Products

If this still does not work, contact Canon Support and inquire about the availability of Windows 7 compatible drivers for that device.

    Hope this helps.

Thank You for testing Windows 7

    Hello JAzzminka,

There are Windows Vista drivers available on Canon's website.  Running these in compatibility mode will likely be your best bet until Canon releases a Windows 7 driver version.  Try running the the Windows Vista driver package normally and if your computer detects a compatibility issue you will be prompted to install the drivers in compatibility mode.
