If a client machine downloads and installs updates on a machine from WSUS server, will the machine store the update files in the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download always? Even after installing the update successfully on the machine.?
Thanks!

Yes, after the successfull install the contents of that folder fade slowly over a couple of months. That folder (softwaredistribution) should be self maintaining. If a client machine downloads and installs updates on a machine from WSUS server, will the machine store the update files in the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download always? Even after installing the update successfully on the machine.?
Thanks!

The Windows Update Agent should purge the files from the ~\Download folder no more than 10 days after successful installation.
If you find files/folders in the ~\Download folder older than 10 days, you can safely delete them from that folder.
