  • How are you configuring the Outlook profile? Are you letting autodisover create a new one? Do any already exist on the client?

Do you have Outlook Anywhere enabled? ( How is this remote client connecting?)

  • Hi,

From the testing result, I found that the RPC/HTTP test failed.

Now please try to use RPCPing on the external problem client to test the connection between external client the RPC Proxy server:
    RPCPing –t ncacn_http –o RpcProxy=<RPCProxyServer> -u 10 –a connect –v 3 –E -P “username,domain,password” –H 1 –F 3

    Regarding the RPCPing:

    Thanks

  • Allen,

Is there a command to find RPCProxyServer name from shell?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

You can run get-outlookanywhere |fl command on the CAS, then the externalhostname is the RPCProxyServer name.

    Thanks

    Allen

  • Thanks Allen.

I ran this command on my CAS-HUB server:

    RPCPing –t ncacn_http –o RpcProxy=mail.mydomain.com -u 10 –a connect –v 3 –E -P “username,domain,password” –H 1 –F 3

  • Mr. Kris,

You have mentioned that the "problem" user is a "remote" user.

Is he trying to connect to exchange server from his own domain or from the exchange server domain?

Are there any firewalls in between "remote" location and the server?
