Active Manager operation failed in DAG

    Question

  • Hi All,

     I am getting this below error when i am  trying to open DAG Properties and  while excuting this cmd Get- databaseavailabilitygroup - status in EMS

    and also from Event logs

    :An Active Manager operation failed with a transient
    error. Please retry the operation. Error: The fully qualified domain name for
    node 'computer name' could not be found.
    Get- databaseavailabilitygroup - status

    unable to open/ get  DAG Status  ,

    Server details :   Exchange server2010SP1Roll2 on windows 2008 R2

     please help me out

    Please check all the services for Exchange are working on both the nodes,

    Please verify windows firewall is off, If you have any Anti-Virus stopped it and try check the event logs and post it.

     All services are working fine , windows firewall off and Symantec endpoint protection was insatlled on Exchange servers.

     any othere things needs to be check here

    Make sure you folowed the Best Practice for installing the SEP client on a Server OS.

  •  I think  Reboot is not the solution  to get the root cause of issues but some times reboot could be helpfull
