Outlook 2010 connected to Exchange but not automatically updating.

  • Outlook 2010 is connected to Exchange but not automatically updating.

    Within Outlook, Send and recieve is set to immediatley. Checked the 'Disable send and recieve' option is turned off.

    Tested the users profile on another machine and Outlook updates correctly, so I presume it's a local profile issue.

    Tried rebuilding the Outlook profile on the affected machine and still the same issue.

    The users believes the problem occured after configuring iPhone, has anyone else experienced this? Also it doesn't seem likely since it works fine on a seperate test machine.

    Any help much appreciated.

    1. Check whether the 'autodiscovery' is working fine. (Cntrl+click outlook icon on taskbar and select 'Test email autoconfiguration')

    2. Try ping to cas array (CAS) configured at outlook

    3. Check for any network/antivirus/firewall issue which prevents the machine to connect to the exchange server

    4. Login the machine as a different user and configure outlook profile

    Glad to hear that you get the work around for your issue.
    Per your first post, there is no issue if use other test machine to configure the outlook profile for the account, right?
    If so, it is mostly like the client end issue.
    I would suggest that you could adelte the outlook and related registry, and install outlook freshly, and then make some tests.
    Please confirm how many users have the issue, all or just some users.
    Please also update the outlook with the latest version, refer to below

    Per my know, seems the old version could cause the issue.
