Applying Correct Permissions for Meeting Room Calendar's Exchange 2010, Outlook 2007

    Question

  • Hi,

I have several meeting rooms setup and users can go in and book a room through the scheduling assistant with barely any issue.

But I want to stop users from directly going to the rooms calendar and scheduling in a booking that will then not cause a conflict when some uses the scheduling assistant.

Can this be done without conflicting with permissions to book the rooms through scheduling assistant?

  • Do you want to restrict Room Mailbox Bookings to Specific Groups ?

  • I want it that you can only book a room by the scheduling assistant and do not have permissions to book the room by going to the calendar and selecting a time that is free and booking it directly.

If it is done that way the scheduling assistant does not pick up that the room is booked and then double books the room.

  • Sounds like double booking issue.

    Review this old case.
