mail.protection.outlook.com Delisting

    Question

  • We moved to another location and got a new ip from ISP and our exchange server is not able to send emails to some recipients getting .mail.protection.outlook.com error.

    user@domain.com
BN1AFFO11FD036.mail.protection.outlook.com #550 5.7.1 Service unavailable; Client host [72.76.xxx.xx] blocked using Blocklist 1; To request removal from this list please forward this message to delist@messaging.microsoft.com ##

This is the error I am getting and I did email to delist@messaging.microsoft.com and I am wondering when will my IP get unblocked as this is causing a lot of communication issues. I checked my ip for blacklist but its not in any database. Hope I'll be able to find some solution soon on this.

  • Hello,

I recommend you check that you're not on any RBL lists again.

I recommend you to check your server to be sure it's not an open relay.

And I recommend you use EXRCA tool to check if there is any related error.

  • Hi Cara, I have a question I needed help with if you have a minute.

We use microsoft exchange server and recently as of the last 2 weeks we can not send a single person with hotmail/msn/live/outlook account an email it always bounces.  This is costing our business huge as you know most people in Canada have Hotmail/Outlook accounts.  Could you please give some suggestions on how to get de-listed from the block list.  I copied the mail error message/head below

I look forward to your reply.

    Darren

  • We are also facing this exact same problems

Outbound mails to a couple of our clients are getting blocked since we migrated to a new box running MS Exchange Server since 2 days back.

BN1BFFO11FD009.mail.protection.outlook.com rejected your message to the following e-mail addresses:

<<<I have erased the email address >>>>

    BN1BFFO11FD009.mail.protection.outlook.com gave this error:
Service unavailable; Client host [my host machine ip] blocked using Blocklist 1; To request removal from this list please forward this message to

its been over 24 hrs and have not heard from the Customer Service folks, after reporting the problem to them as instructed in the mail.

Any idea - how to contact them, or how much time they will actually take before they white list our IP.

    Any help - appreciated.

    Thanks and regards

Well, we would certainly contact them if we could. Have sent in email requests per instructions (delist at messaging.microsoft.com). Customer cannot send emails. Have followed instructions. Way past 24 hours that we were told it would take to delist. No other contact information given to get this done. Perhaps we should send up a flare? Send a radio SOS. What other method is there to contact someone to resolve this? Help!

k the problem was initially our fault because received spam was transfered to external adress of some doctors who asked that, but it is resolved since 1 week
