  • Hello my friend. finally I install the Exchange server 2010 after SharePoint 2010 successfully. first I disable all the exchange services from services section and in IIS I stoped the shareoint 80 and sharepoint administration and default web application and then I reset IIS. and then start the all the services of the Exchange. In binding section in IIS, I started the sharepoint sites and when I tried to start the default web application, error raising with this message "can not start the default web application, because port 80 is used by another application". so I assign a port 8080 to all the sharepoint web applications and bind a https to default web application and then reset the IIS again.after that another error in Exchange raised and I removed WinRM and add it. and it work:D

  • No both are using different settings and configuration for IIS, you can use virtualization solution like hyper-v if you don't have enough HW

  • Hi,

Please do not install Exchange Server 2010 together with Sharepoint 2010 on the same server. We always recommend to only host Exchange Server roles on one machine.

  • Hi,

I am not the expert on Sharepoint, but I guess when we install Sharepoint, it will do some configuration with the default website.

Exchange 2010 need to create a lot of VD under the default website and also need to do a lot of configuration with the default website.

Thus I think there should be some confilt if we install sharepoint first.

    Xiu

  • For anyone else reading this.... SharePoint and Exchange are supported on the same server when they are on SBS 2011.

  • Install Exchange 2010 first, then install SharePoint 2010. I suggest not using this same server to run SQL Server though. I have several Exchange servers running as well as 3-4 SharePoint farms. Running SQL Server on the same server as Exchange and SharePoint adversely affects Exchange and overall server performance especially if you are using Reporting services.
