  • If your database copy are in a healthy state then you can just create two VMs and install Exchange on them. Make these VMs CAS / HUB / MBX servers and let them be part of your DAG. Create database copies for all databases on use on the new Exchange Servers. Also, don't forget to move also public folders to the new ones. At this step, you can update your CAS array DNS records to point to the new Exchange Servers IP addresses. At this step, validate that all is okay and uninstall Exchange on the old VMs.

  • Hello,

If they are not function properly then even rebuilding may not solve the problem.

So, can you please explain how these servers are not functioning properly?

  • Tks for the prompt answer , But can  I do as below.

    - Remove the DAG

    - Move the Mailbox Data and Public folder data to server 1

    - Rebuild the second server  and build a  DAG and cas Array

    OR

Build Hyper-v Cluster on using System Center VMM Manager.
