RPC Client Access Service keeps restarting

    Question

  • Hi there, i have an Exchange 2013 server running.

    I have the problem that the RPC Client Access Service keeps restarting.
    Bellow are my eventlogs;

    13-11-2012 09:03:56

    The Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access service terminated unexpectedly.  It has done this 1 time(s).  The following corrective action will be taken in 5000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

    13-11-2012 09:03:58

    The Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access service entered the running state.

    13-11-2012 09:04:01

    The Service Control Manager tried to take a corrective action (Restart the service) after the unexpected termination of the Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access service, but this action failed with the following error:

    An instance of the service is already running.

    Luckly the service restarts by itself but it is anyoing for my users because they will get an offline/online popup box in outlook.

    Does anyone know how to fix this behavior?

  • Hi Fiona,
    Thanks for your reply. I managed to solve the problem by adding a new registery key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\MinimumConnectionTimeout DWORD value 120

  • It seems like ASP.net causes this issue. Try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941386?wa=wsignin1.0

    Hope it is helpful.
