Outlook meeting request answers go directly to the deleted items folder

    Question

  • Hello everybody,

a customer still uses Outlook 2002 with Exchange 2003, but I have found reports about the same problem for Outlook 2007 on the web as well - just missing the solution ;-)

    1. User A sends a meeting request to User B.
    2. User B accepts, thereby sending a notification back to user A.
    3. In user A's Outlook, that returned message immediately goes to the Deleted Items folder.

There are no rules in place. What could cause this behaviour please?

    Best Regards

Answers

  • If you selected the Delete blank voting and meeting responses after processing check box in the Tracking Options dialog, meeting responses sent to you without comments are tabulated in your original meeting request, and then deleted without appearing in your Inbox

    ----------Refer to <Troubleshoot meetings>

Please check if the issue happens permanently

Please check if the issue can still be reproduced via OWA, and outlook client is closed
