    Question

  • Hi,

We have Exchange 2010 SP1 that is behind an TMG 2010 SP1, our exchange is configured to host the email for more then 4 customers each with own domains i.e. comapny1.com, company2.net, and domain1.org.

right now all of our customers accessing thier mail with OWA, or POP3 and telefoon.

we have a new customer that want to use our exchange to host thier mail, but they dont want to use POP or OWA but they want to use thier outlook 2007 or 2010 to access the exchange server.

is this possible? I mean can they access our exchange server that is behind the TMG with outlook?

    Thanks,

    Shahin

Answers

  • Yes it is, once imported you will have to import into their hosted mailbox somehow, maybe from the Exchange end or via Outlook.

  • See no reason why they can't use OA.

  • The reson new customer want to use outlook:

    Outlook has more options.

they have alot of contects (as pst files)

they want to have access to thier old pst files

does outlook anywhere would work for them?

    Thanks

  • PST file are local, so they would they would have to access them locally anywhere, opening the PST files will mean you need a client like Outlook.  OA has nothing do do with opening PST files, but for a richer feature set then this would be a good choice.
