Exchange 2010 SP1
When I try to track a message I get the following error "Can't track this message because of an error. Please contact your helpdesk for assistance."
I have navigated to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\TransportRoles\Logs\MessageTracking" and searched for the message in the correct log and it is there
Message tracking is enabled on the server, the permissions on the directory are the same as our staging environment
I cant see anything in the Event Viewer

The problem was not having a default accepted domain on a per organisation basis.....
