What does X-SpamScore: mean?

  • Hello,

    Some of my users are receiving NDRs when sending to a particular domain.
    These NDRs say:
    The following organization rejected your message: xyz.com
    They also have a line with the following: X-SpamScore: 1 and sometimes there's an eleven instead of the one.

    Does this mean that the receiving email server is considering the message as spam?

  • Possibly, you would really have to talk to their email admins to find out what criteria they are using to apply a score to a particular message and why they are being rejected.
    You could also enable SMTP protocol logging to get a SMTP conversation view of message rejections:
