How to Port Forward in Forefront TMG?

    Question

  • We our getting a web conferncing system into our current network.  But they asked us to do the following

    1. Forward Port 1720 TCP to the private IP of the Video System
    2. Forward TCP ports 60,000 and 60,001 to the private IP of the Video System
    3. Forward UDP ports 60,000 and 64,999 to the private IP of the Video System

Can anyone guide me on creating these 3 new settings in Forefront TMG that comes with Windows Essential Business Server 2008?

  • You will probably need to set up Custom protocols for those. Call them whatever you want but they would be inbound connections. Once you have them defined set up a Server (non Web) Publishing rule for each one of the newly defined protocols.

  • Hi,

if your network relationship between the external and the internal network is NAT, you have to use Server publishing rules, else, create firewall rules which allows the requested ports
