SQL Server Management Studio through ISA 2004

    Question

  • I'm trying to connect to an external SQL database using SQL Server Management Studio through ISA 2004 on Windows 2003 SBS R2.  When I do, I receive this error in ISA:

A packet generated on the local host was rejected because its source IP address is assigned to one network adapter and its destination IP address is reachable through another network adapter.

    Any reason why??

  • Hi,

    Thank you for the post.

As far as I know, SQL Server Management Studio uses TCP port 1433. You may create access rule allow port 1433 from internal to external.
