UAG 2010 sp3 as ADFS proxy issue

    General discussion

  • We use ADFS for federated authentication to cloud applications,

Any specific setting for UAG 2010 sp3, Sp1 while configuring AD FS 2.0 trunk, AD FS 2.0 application is automatically created but with SP3 it is not happening.

Is it possible to configure UAG 2010 sp3 as ADFS proxy?

    Thanks,

    Sudhish

  • Hi Amig@. You must create the ADFS application manually (previous to SP3 this was done automatically) after creating the authentication repository

    Hi Peter,

Prior to SP2 for UAG, a UAG trunk that used AD FS authentication *had* to also publish the AD FS server. Furthermore, if you wanted to have more than one trunk using AD FS authentication, you needed to have multiple AD FS servers, one per each trunk.

These limitations have been removed in SP2, and therefore you can have a trunk that uses AD FS authentication without also publishing the AD FS server. The AD FS server may be published by another UAG trunk, or may not even be published by UAG at all. This is the reason for removing this "feature".
