Antigen 9.1/Exchange 2003 Quarantine Zip files

    Question

  • Experiencing issues setting up quarantine for zip files.
    Would like to:
Quarantine all ZIP files, send notification to Admin and internal recipient.  Release ZIP when required.
We do have password protected ZIP file requirements.
    Issues:
Testing and adjusting filtering not providing confidence that system is working as I had hoped.  Some zips never arrive, worried too many security features disabled.
Does anyone have sample settings including General Options settings.
    Current settings:

    Filtering:
    File Name: Test*.zip*
    File Types: All Types
    File Filter: Enabled
    Action: Purge: Eliminate messages
General: Send Notifications and Quarantine Files - both checked

    Settings:
    Scanning:
Delete Corrupted Compress files - checked
Delete Corrupted Uuencode files - checked
Delete Encrypted Compress files – UN-Checked
Treat High Compression Zip.... – UN-Checked
    Treat Multi-part RAR......- checked
    Treat Concatenated gzips.... - checked
    all others un-checked

Deliver from Quarantine - Compatibility Mode

    Notifications:
    File Administrators: Enabled
    File Sender (Internal): Enabled
    File Recipient (Internal): Enabled
    File Sender (External): Disabled
    File Recipient (External): Disabled

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • When you say some zips never arrive, what do you mean?  They never arrive to your Quarantine (which means they end up being sent to the intended recipients)?
