How to downgrade Sharepoint 2010 look and feel into Sharepoint 2007 after Visual upgradation.

    Question

  • Hi,

    Recently we have migrated from Sharepoint 2007 to 2010 and we have done Visual upgrade for one of site permanently.  Means.. we have migrated it in 2007 look and feel but later on we have changed it to 2010. Now we don't want this 2010 look and feel anymore.. it is really annoying. Can anyone let me know how i can downgrade 2010 look and feel to 2007 .

    Thanks

    Amit

  • Hi.

    Fear not, the visual upgrade is reversible...

    Use this link:

    Revert sites to previous user interface
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607998.aspx#section3

    It tells you this:

    To revert a specific site in a site collection to the previous UI, at the Windows PowerShell command prompt, type the following command:

    Get-SPSite http://machinename/sites/V3UI | Get-SPWeb "webname" | Foreach{$_.UIVersionConfigurationEnabled=1;$_.UIVersion=3;$_.Update();}

    or

    To reverts all sites in a site collection to the previous user interface, at the Windows PowerShell command prompt, type the following command:

    Get-SPSite http://machinename/sites/V3UI | Foreach{$_.UIVersionConfigurationEnabled=1;$_.UIVersion=3;$_.Update();}

    Best of luck
