SpamCure not updating & crashing
SpamCure not updating & crashing
- On Dec 23rd our daily SpamCure update failed. It has been failing every time and I believe the spamcure engine is not even running since Antigen Administrator shows no info for this scanner when I click on it. I have tried tripling the timeout via the registry key and it solves no problem. I tried manually downloading the spamcure engine and the files are identical to the ones the server already has for spamcure.
The eventlog error is:
EventID: 6014
Message: The SpamCure scan engine update timed out while loading scanner.
The ProgramLog.txt error is:

- Do you have SP1 installed? There is also a rollup package for SP1 (Rollup 4).
- STop your Antigen services and the delete Spam Cure folder, start up your Antigen Services and manually update Spam Cure.

- THe above worked for me. But somehow had to also stop to Exchange INformation Store as the store of the SpamCure needed to tbe dismounted for the delete.
