Question Exchange Management Shell and Exchange Management Console access errors

I am getting the following error in EMS and also unable to connect to the EMC with another error.  Alot of the posts i have read and i have read a few, point to checking that the user has the correct remotepowershellenabled however how can we do this if we cant access the EMS in the first place?

    error

Connecting to remote server failed with the following  error message: The client cannot connect to the destination specified in the request.  Verify the server on the destination is running and is accepting requests.  Consult the logs and documentation for the WS_Management service running on the destination, most commonly IIS or WinRM.  If the destination is the WinRM service, run the following command on the desintation to analyze and configure the WinRM Service "WinRM Quickconfig".

We are also getting the following

Connecting to remote server failed with the following  error message: The WinRM Client received an HTTP server error status (500) but the remote sevice did not include any other information about the cause of the failure.

We have run the WInRM quickconfig however how can we enter the command to check the 'remotepowershellenabled' true /false issue if we cant access the EMS?

Your help and advise would be very much appreciated at this stage as we are struggling to get this fixed!!

    thanks

    Hi Janet

Is there any Third Party Tools on your system, such as antivirus?

If yes, you can disable the antivirus and reboot the server

    Hiya

Yes we are running AVG Business Ed 2011.  Only other 3rd party would be Sage 50 accounts 2011 so that should be ok.

i will give this a try thanks

    Hi

Could you try to disable the AVG and rebooted the server and then open the EMC and EMS?

    Cheers
