Exchange 2007 CCR First Storage Group "Mailbox Database" Seeding error A DISK I/O error occoured

We have Exchange 2007 CCR with Databases put into EMC Clarion.
After moving all mailboxes to the CCR database Replication stopped.
when trying to manually reseed with Update-StorageGroupCopy it gets "Seeding error Disk I/O error have occured".
What to look for to get it rectified

Did you find the issue with the Storage?
Have your controlled the storage sub-system so everything is healthy?
