Autodiscovery CAS connection

We have a setup with one server (server1) as CAS/HT/FSW and other three with CAS/HT/Mbox roles and are DAG members .CAS array is not in place.
Clients always get server1 while configuring outlook 2010 using autodiscovery as all of the database are associated to this endpoint (server1).
Can different CAS server endpoint be assigned for different databases ?
Will introducing another server with CAS/HT role along with the existing one and creating array be a better option ,since the CAS on other servers are part of DAG and cannot be used in array.
Please suggest.

Hello,
Outlook reads the RPCClientAccessServer value to locate the CAS server and Autodiscover always select the first SCP (The first installed CAS server in your org) for accessing.

Thank you Simon,
When we upgraded from Exchange 2007 , this was not the first CAS we had.We brought in this server (M2) as the witness server with CAS/HT role later. The first installed server with Exchange2007 (M1) had all the roles which was upgraded and is now part of DAG.
The RPCClientAccessServer query shows all the databases associated to the endpoint M2.
We know that when M2 goes down MAPI clients would experience the outage. My query is that can we someway point to servers in our DAG having CAS role to serve the MAPI requests when M2 is unavailable ?
Presently we have all the servers at one site only but plan to have CAS at other site as well .If the CAS on DAG can not be used then will it make sense to bring in an additional server with CAS like M2 and form an array ? but this would mean additional hardware cost.

Hello,
Thanks for the question.
When the M2 is down, you can manually change the RPCClientAccessServer value to the CAS on DAG to continually serve the Outlook clients.

Hello,
create always a CAS array because this makes life easier. Afterwards set the CAS array name into the RPCClientAccessServer property of all databases.
