LOST PHOTOS

first let me say that i am not computer literate. so please bear with me.
i attempted to set-up a new folder on my desktop using photos from the documents folder. when i open the desktop folder it says that it is empty. those photos are also missing from the documents folder. is there a way that i can retrieve those photos?
i'm using vista home premium 32bit and windows 6.0.
any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.

dimanche 11 mars 2012 00:47check your recycle bin,you can use recuva to recover your photos, or use system restore(use search and type system restore choose 2 days before your problem happened) and check all your folders could be on one of these.. good luck........
