I'm in the process of deinstalling an OCS 2007 Server infrastructure. The OCS Environment is based on a single Standard Edition Server on an Windows 2003 sp2 Server. The forest contains a root and a child domain. The OCS Server is installed in the child domain. I've followd this script to uninstall the OCS 2007 Server: http://blogs.pointbridge.com/Blogs/schertz_jeff/Pages/Post.aspx?_ID=31.
Now I'm stucked on the process to deactivate the FE Role and the log says
Service
Name: RTCSRV
Office Communications Server Service Installed: True
Office Communications Server Service Enabled:
True
Office Communications Server Service
Account: RTCService@main.corp.fenaco.com
Domain Account: TrueFailure
[0x80070525] The specified user does not exist.
I've tried with serveral user to deactivate (Domain Admin, Enterprise Admin), who all are members of the RTCUniversalServerAdmins Group, which is locatet in the root Domain.
lcscmd.exe /Server /Role:SE /Action:Deactivate /Force
How can I bybass this Error or can I manually deactivate/deinstallate the Server?
Best Regards

Jeff has another great post on how to manually remove an OCS Server
https://blogs.pointbridge.com/Blogs/schertz_jeff/Pages/Post.aspx?_ID=13Instead of renaming the server you can also remove

Hi,
Looks like the RTCService account or password is expired. Please check it and make sure it is not expired.
