    Hi all,

We have OCS2K7 R2 implemented and we have a pilot group for Windows 7. Communicator work fine if you are in the main site but outside of that i.e. regional office you cannot logon to Communicator. The communicator version 3.5.6907.56. But anyone running on WinXP does not have a problem.

Any have similar issues on Windows 7?

Can you enable loggign on the OC clients and report back with whatever errors are appearing in the workstation's event log?

Have you edit the sensitive info on that log?

    If not...

Does the site you're in has LAN access to main site?

Because your MOC is trying to connect to:

     Target Server Name: ocsfe01.domain.local

Is this server available on the remote site? If it's available is there any firewall between sites? Is the firewall configured to let OCS ports go through?

    Hope it helps

    Hi Gavin,

I found a work around for the issue. It's a Windows 2008 issue more than Windows 7. This also applies to SharePoint related issue also. The kbs fix the problem.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926642

Ignore the fact that it's applies to Windows 2003 but it does work with Windows 2008. Doesn't need to reboot or restart IIS at all. Just need to give it about 10 mins or so.

    Thanks all for helping out.
