I'm sure we're not the only ones who have this issue with MPOP on MS Communicator, so i wanted to find if anyone else has found a solution to this.

with MPOP, MS Communicator is supposed to be able to allow you to have access from multiple places at once. Which is a GREAT part of the functionality. My BIG complaint is that the server sends the message ONLY to the last location you have used. So, when we have multiple desktops that we're working on at work, and have ms communicator on the blackberry going, we may get messages spread out across them depending on what we've used last.

How do we fix that? It causes GREAT confusion and a significant delay on response since you might only see that the next time you're on the device.

    Hi,

This is by design. Notifications of incoming IMs are sent to all online MPOPs for a user so that every endpoint has an opportunity to pick up the IM. However if after 10 seconds the IM hasn't been picked up by one of the endpoints that was notified, OCS will default to displaying the IM on the last active endpoint for that user.
There's no way to modify this as far as I know.

    Cheers,

    Justin

Thanks, kinda sucks for that situation, but i guess we'll have to live with it. I'm going to probably 86 the project to put communicator on our blackberries and windows mobile devices then.
