Using radio buttons to kick off differnet workflows?

I've been playing around with SPD 2013 workflows for a while now. I'm interested in creating a list where the submitter can pick a choice via a dropdown or radio button. When they submit, I would like to take different paths or workflows depending on the choice. Can I do that in SPD or do I need VS? I have some expertise in both. Can someone give me some pointers in what to look for? I think my biggest problem is learning the correct terminology for some of these functions. Also, on a side note. Did I read correctly that Infopath is sort of being fazed out in 2013 and 2015?
Thanks for any help, Chris

you don't have to attach multiple workflows to the list and start one of them based on the choice field.
you can use combine them into single workflow, add a condition action at the beginning of the sharepoint designer workflow and execute different branch based on the value of choice field.
