I've created a list on my Sharepoint site that contains a long list of fields. The user only has to fill in half of these fields, and I don't want the user to be able to fill in or in any other way edit the other fields.
To do this, I opened the list in Sharepoint Designer and created a new ASPX page. In this page I placed a custom Sharepoint Object, which allowed me to delete the fields that I don't want the users to fill in. I did the same with the list I want for the
EditForm, but used SPSecurityTrimmedControl to hide the fields that only adminds should be able to fill in.
Now I want to take this code and place it within the same pagetemplate as the rest of my Sharepoint site, but when I do this, it still shows the original EditForm and NewForm content. I've tried to replace the code between
WebPartPages:ListFormWebPart on the page, but it's as if it keeps the WebPartPages:ListFormWebPart and just adds my code after it.
