Hello,
I have done this installation many times (with my students at the university) on Virtual PC for Windows 7. I have not used Virtual PC 2007 for almost two years now.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/
My suggestion is to assign 1.0 - 1.5 GB of RAM to the VM, copy the ISO to the drive of the Virtual Machine, extract the content of the ISO that drive using WinRAR (do not use WinZIP), and run setup from there.Hope this helps..
Regards,

Thanks for the WinRAR tip. Would have never suspected that the install files off of the ISO needed that. Smooooooooth install. No errors. Had tried using WinZip and MagicISO earlier with equally tragic results..........
