I have two persistent problems with my AOL experience after installing W7-32.
1. I am unable to close a game program (Pogo) which I opened in AOL. Each time I click to close, I get an error message and the game page remains open. When I click to close the message, AOL stops responding and freezes in that mode....I have to close AOL to relieve. When I re-open AOL the Pogo webpage is still open (AOL 9.1 keeps your open windows active for the next time you sign on) and the result is the same when I attempt to close it. I'm stuck with this page!!
2. I attempted to download AOL 9.1 and 10.1 Desktop in an effort to re-install the program and AOL will not allow the download because it does not recognize my OS and therefore I do not meet minimum requirements for download. I am running Win 7- 32 on an HP dual Pentium 1.6Gh with 1 Gig RAM.
can you get it downloaded via another machine and transport the d/l over by usb memory stick or similar? or is it not a d/l setup package?
if its AOL dial up a work around might be to make a new dial up connection and put the aol sign in information in that, that would at least get you online,(assuming aol still allows you to do this) but you wouldnt be able to access aol mail and stuff through aol homepage.
Have you tried to clear your Internet Temp Files? This should clear out the page that AOL has saved and should allow you to get access back. ~Alex T.~Windows Desktop Experience MVP~
