Windows 7 loading problem
-
vendredi 8 juin 2012 17:11My laptop HP Pavilion G series will not restart from the Start-Restart menu. It will shut down but when it comes back up only the bios screen appears and windows does not load. I have to shut it down and power it back up and then the OS will load. The laptop will shut down from the Start menu on the task bar and then once I power it back up the OS loads just fine. I already restored the laptop from factory defaults because I suspected the laptop had malware. This and other problems were prevalent. The restoral solved all problems but the restart problem. I did restore all files from a backup drive so maybe the malware came back. Any solutions in the registry? I've already checked the Winlogon-Shell-REG_SZ key value and it is set to explorer.exe.

Hi ,
You may go to Safe Mode and use your anti-virus program or Microsoft Security Essentials to scan your system.
If your operation system is preinstalled on the laptop, please contact the HP support for help.
