Traitée Manage VISTA with Group Policy

The documentation I have found seems to be a little unclear.  Can I manage VISTA with the new ADMX files without upgrading to Windows Server 2008?  I am under the impression I can extend the schema and still use a VISTA machine to manage the group policies.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Hello,

Yes, you can manage Vista with the new ADMX file without upgrading to Windows Server 2008.

To manage Windows Vista with the new ADMX files in Windows Server 2003 domain, you can install RSAT tools for Windows Vista SP1. The group policy management console on Windows Vista can load the local ADMX files to manage group policies in the Windows Server 2003 domain when you login as the domain administrator.

You even can make Central Store for Group Policy Administrative Templates (ADMX and ADML) by copying local ADMX files (the PolicyDefinitions folder) to \\domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\.

    Hope it helps.
