mercredi 2 mai 2012 06:32recently am asked to purchase 25 computers for the new recriuts , the stock has arrived today ...now they are asking me to go ahead to purchase a router and 24 port switch ...and they looking for a new domain too, already we have one domain one router and two 24 port switch and one 8 port switch...! now am gonna create one more domain with new subnet range and i should make the two domain usrs will be able to communicate with one another what is mi next steps to go
consider i have installed OS routers and switchs..!
what things i need to do next !
Sugest me all the steps what u would take !
two domain peoples should able to acess shared drives
group policy should not propogate to Domain 2 from domain 1 . coz we are creaing new policy here
i should go for zone transfer from domain zone 1 to Domain zone 2 to maintain a copy of domain 1 information ?Face the fact tat we all have plenty to learn about this field. As per the post I understand that you will create a new Domain in the Existing forest.
How to

When a new domain tree is created in an existing forest, a two-way, transitive tree root trust is established by default so that you don't have to worry about sharing the resources between two domains

When you say you are creating a new domain , Are you creating a child domain in an existing forest or this is a separte forest?

I agree with Syed , If you are adding the new domain in an existing forest no need to creating any trust between them , as by default they will trust each other.

If you are creating a child domain or domain tree in an existing forest then automatically trust are established. If you are creating a separate forest then trust neeed to be created manually.

You need a separte hardware to manage other domain. You can not manage 2 domains using one single hardware.
